The Town of Hancock is soliciting bids for a freshwater well.

To meet the following specifications:

• Drilled to a depth of up to 520 feet or of sufficient depth to reliably tap into and draw from the local aquifer to provide a reliable source of freshwater.
• Water pipe into the well will be an 8-inch final internal dimension.
• 4-inch check valves
• Protection bumpers for all electrical wiring and other internal parts to prevent damage.
• Protective shroud over submersible pump and motors and other internal parts vulnerable to damage.
• 700 gallon per minute capacity
• Protective liner
• Protected electrical wiring to power submersible pump and other internal powered components.
• Water drawn from this well will meet or surpass all required testing standards for municipal water supply after Town treatment.
